A/B testing

A/B testing requires meaningful traffic. To reach 95% confidence on a typical landing page test with a 5% baseline conversion rate and a 20% relative lift, most pages need ~5,000-10,000 visitors per variant. Pages below that threshold can run tests indefinitely without reaching significance.

Common A/B testing mistakes: stopping the test early when one variant pulls ahead, running too many parallel tests on shared traffic, testing trivial changes (button colors) instead of meaningful ones (headline, value prop, proof block).

The bigger limitation is upstream: most A/B testing backlogs are filled with hypothesis from analyst intuition. A corpus-grounded diagnostic that ranks weak sentences by impact produces sharper hypotheses and shorter time-to-winner.

How Lytms scores it

Lytms returns the diagnostic; the experimentation platform (VWO, Optimizely, in-house) runs the test. The Lytms finding contains the weak sentence quoted from the page and a suggested rewrite — both directly usable as A/B test variants.
